You want noobs? You want funny stories?
Try Thunderhead Keep and Thirsty River, join a party, and laugh your ass off (and both are easily doable with full henchman party)

I had an unfortunate encounter with a brother mesmer in Ring of Fire yesterday.
He cast Backfire on Ettins.
He had NO points dedicated at all to Fast Casting, or at least less than 4 FC, since he took nearly or all the full three seconds to attempt cast Spirit of Failure.
He was attempting to interrupt, with Power Block no less, Orison of Healing without any Fast Casting.
The only interrupt I didn't have to do was his Power Block against Chain Lightning, which takes 3 seconds to cast.
I was on my ranger while doing this mission, btw, but it's not hard to tell just how pathetically BAD this mesmer was when you know all the casting/hex animations.

I find a 5 man team for oro farming. I go as MM. I specifically ask if anyone is not familiar with this sort of run, and all assure me they are. From the start something is off as bodies are sprouting wells in locations where they usually dont, but I assume ANet must have wised up and decided to make things less easy for MMs. So things are going at a crawl, but at first I assume its just due to my lack of minions.
Well, eventually it turns out that the SS did bring SS and echo, but he put no points into curses, and basically has a blood spike build. Things are going slowly because our SS cant SS and also doesnt have shivers. Wonderful. And thats when it dawns on me that all these extra wells havent put there by smarter foes, but by our dear curses necro...
He spoke very little english, wouldnt stop stealing my corpses, and gave the rest of us no choice but to quit.
Hurrah for noobs...

OMG these people give mesmers a bad name.
While I have occassionally been guilty of starting to cast backfire on someone who doesn't need it, in the heat of battle I always stop and place it somewhere more appropriate.

This is a story ALL the way back from 55 monks using protective bond first making the scene(1 energy loss at 17 protection prayers) So I go into ToA and I see this monk making bets saying this... "I Bet I can tank against an Aataxe and beat it!" I knew the build fairly well then (As I to had a 55 Monk) So I figured I would take him up on his bet knowing his weekness. He goes ranting on and on about how he will do it and that he will bet me 50k that he will and he just goes on and on.... So We get a mediator, he holds the 50k from both sides and we go into the UW.... He runs up to an aataxe and I lay down a Natures Renewal. Owned ^_^

Oh you should try some guys FoW build I had in my team. I think it was something like this:
Me/N
Maxed out Illusion
Maxed out Domination
Conjure Phantasm
Clumsiness
Backfire
Chaos Storm
Grenths Balance [E]
Res
He said he was Dom, but didn't bring the BEST dom spell for FoW, shatter hex.
Or the wammo tank for Oro farming. He was in full FoW, but he brought a full skilbar of hammer attacks (including the elite, Devastating Hammer), and instead of actually farming the bosses, as soon we got in he raced full pelt for the defend oro part.
We told him he'd screwed the whole run, but after we'd all left, he persisted to whisper me saying 'ur the noob ive got FoW'. Ironic really, since I was wearing it too.

I was in Thirsty River with my monk, and an E/Mo healer starts insulting me, saying that monks suck as healers, and E/Mos make better healers because they have more energy. (hurr)
When i told him about Divine Favor, and how it does tons of extra healing, he responds with "noob, divine favor only works on yourself. Trust me, i have a monk."
So yeah, he called me a noob and all because I thought Divine Favor worked on anyone who I healed. I guess I have a lot to learn.
I also was in a PUG for the Ruins of Surmia mission with two rangers and a W/Mo. A ranger and W/Mo were in the same guild, so i figured this would be easy. The Ranger in the same guild as the wammo brought a pet, and the other ranger did not have a pet. The Wammo proceeds to call the ranger without the pet a noob because pets pwn omglolol, and you should never, ever play ranger without bringing a pet.
I proceed to explain to him that the only thing a pet is good for is being a meatsheild early on in the game since you usually don't have any better skill to put on, and even then it's pretty useless since you need to waste an extra skill slot for a rez, and even more skill slots and attribute points if you want him to do damage, not to mention that your tanks should be drawing aggro instead of your pet. He tells me "I have a 20 ranger in the desert, i know what I'm talking about".
I retorted that I have a ranger who beat the game (a lie, though, i deleted him after i beat THK to make the E/N i was using) who never used a pet past ascalon, and that it was my 5th (no lie) PvE character, so I know how to play the game.
Turns out the Wammo was the guild's leader. I flashed my R3 emote and he was confused as hell as to what it was. I put him on block and we finished the level in peace.

True, we do have a "biggest Jerk" thread, but I think this one is different enough... for now. Just remember to keep the stories here about noobs and noob moments.

I had my noob moment. I was healing the whole party, and didn't realize that Dwayna's Kiss didn't work for me. I died two times, before I finally got the picture. Searing Heat is a bitch with puppies
